About Us
The idea of GameSnitch originally started with our annoyance: game prices move around constantly, they're different in every region, and there's no easy way to see whether the number on the screen is actually a good deal or just the regular price with a sale badge plastered on it. So we built this site to track PlayStation, Xbox and Steam game prices every single day and keep a running history of what a game has actually cost over time, so you can tell a real discount from a marketing one.
Core Features
GameSnitch's core feature is the price tracker. Every day our crawlers pull current listings and prices from PlayStation, Xbox and Steam across dozens of storefront regions, and we log what changed. That gives us price history for millions of games and editions, which we turn into charts on each game's page so you can see the lowest price it's ever hit, how long a current sale has been running, and whether it's worth waiting a bit longer.
Because the same game can be priced very differently depending on which regional store you're looking at, region comparison is one of the features people use us for most. Pick a game and we'll show you side by side what it costs across the regions we track, in the local currency and converted so the comparison actually means something. It won't change how or where you can buy, but it does mean you're not guessing.
Beyond price history and regional comparison, GameSnitch also covers the practical stuff: a coming soon list so you know what's about to release, dedicated deals and discount pages for each platform, and Xbox Game Pass tracking so you can see what's currently in the catalogue, what's about to leave, and what's coming. If you create a free account you can favorite games and build a watchlist, and we'll email you when something on it drops in price or a discount is expiring soon, so you're not the one who has to keep checking back.
But, We Don't Sell Games
We're not a store and we don't sell anything ourselves — every "buy" link on the site takes you straight to the official PlayStation, Xbox or Steam storefront to complete the purchase. GameSnitch is just the layer in between that keeps an eye on prices so you don't have to, and we're continuing to add regions, platforms and features as we go. If there's something you'd like to see tracked, we're always happy to hear about it.
